About Vents D'est

Vents D'est brings a warm slice of Alsace charm right into the heart of Toulouse, and the moment you arrive at 17 Rue de la Colombette, the atmosphere already feels inviting and relaxed. This Alsace restaurant has a cozy personality that blends traditional comfort with a lively city vibe, making it a great spot whether you are planning a casual dinner, a late-night meal, or a laid-back gathering with friends. The menu leans into rich regional flavors, so it is easy to expect hearty dishes paired with carefully selected wine, cold beer, or even a refreshing cocktail to match the mood. What makes the place stand out is how effortlessly it balances classic comfort food with lighter and healthier options, giving guests plenty of variety without losing that authentic French touch.

Inside, the setting feels intimate yet energetic, especially during busy evening hours when conversations, glasses clinking, and the aroma of freshly prepared dishes fill the room. Coffee lovers can also settle in comfortably after a meal, while those looking for something stronger will notice a solid selection of hard liquor and drinks behind the bar. Vents D'est works well for different dining styles too, since dine-in service creates the full experience while takeout and delivery make it convenient to enjoy the restaurant from home. The location itself adds to the charm, tucked into one of Toulouse’s lively streets where local culture and food naturally come together. Between the welcoming ambiance, flavorful Alsace-inspired cuisine, and easygoing service style, the restaurant feels approachable rather than overly formal, which makes returning for another meal feel almost automatic.

Very good tarte flambées! Abit pricey but I understand that they use original good quality ingredients from Alsace. The dessert menu is abit limited (and quite expensive) but I got the banofee and it was good. Hope to see more Alsace desserts though. Also a great welcome from the owners.

You enter through a little red door an the smell of the Munster cheese hits you right in the face. A very nice lady welcomes you and makes you feel like the special guest to her dinner party at home. The menu has a lot of options so if you want a sure thing, you should try the Choucroute Vent D'est (the house special) and Cordon Bleu au Munster The Gewürztraminer wine, fruity and aromatic, is the cherry on top to pair the dishes. Food preparation takes its time so be patient, it's worth it!

Very nice place. Friendly staff. Taste was good, portions and prices normal for a french restaurant. Around €18-25 for main courses, if I remember well.
